Wiveliscombe Taxis also known as Wivey Taxis

was started in 1987 whilst John was Sub-Postmaster at Waterrow Post Office just outside Wiveliscombe.

We have 4 passenger and  6 passenger vehicles that can be booked in advance.

Since the Post Office has long since closed he operates the Wiveliscombe Taxis full-time Wivey Taxis are licenced by Somerset and West formally Taunton Deane County Council.

We take bookings for Wedding Receptions, Train Stations, Airports and Seaports.

We can also be booked for guided tours of Exmoor.

Being a rural Taxi Service we  unable to offer a 24 hr service so if you are visiting the area please book well in advance to avoid being stranded at that Wedding Reception in the middle of nowhere.  We do make an extra effort to be more flexible for those that are visiting the area that arrange for us to meet them at Taunton Station or one of the Southwest airports if they are heading for the Wiveliscombe area.  

The Taunton based taxis are keen to bring you the 11 mile journey to Wiveliscombe but not so keen to come to Wiveliscombe to take you to a local venue.  If we are only offered the local work and not the journeys from Taunton Station or Bristol and Exeter Airports, then villages like ours could lose this service as the local population is too small to keep us as busy as we need to be.
